Ministries

Faith Community Church has a wide variety of ministry opportunities for you and your family.  Not only do we offer activities for our children, youth, families, and members, but we are deeply committed to reaching out into our community in collaboration with other area local churches.  This is a great place to enjoy new relationships while serving our community together.

Sunday School, 9:20-10:20AM

We are very excited about our children and youth ministries at Faith Community Church.  We have a nursery in Room 111 during Sunday School with classes for children (pre-K-5th grades) beginning in the sanctuary at 9:15AM.  Our children's ministry teachers and leaders bring the Bible to life each and every week through games, crafts, lessons, cooking, and video.

We have a junior high class (6th-7th grades) and a senior high class (8th-12th grades) that meet in our new Family Life Center.  We meet every Sunday in our classes for open discussion, embracing the topics that matter most to our generation.

Our youth ministry (6th-12th grades) at Faith Community Church is not your typical youth group.  While we have fun like the rest of them, we have an enduring commitment to relevant and inspiring worship (led by our student praise team, EntirelYours).  Whereas many youth groups focus on a missions trip, we view ourselves as campus missionaries.  Every day is an opportunity to live faithfully among our friends, family, and classmates.

Faith Friends

We offer special activities the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month during our mid-week children's ministry, "Faith Friends."  We offer interactive Bible lessons, outreach events, and fun activities for children (pre-K thru 7th grades) at the church.

Youth Ministry

Students reaching students is what our youth ministry is all about. Empowering students to become campus missionaries helps each of them to accept personal responsibility to reach the lost of their generation. Campus missions is our a priority as we intentionally gather with other youth from other churches on our school campuses.

A Campus Missionary commits to:

  • PRAY daily for friends, teachers, school administrators, and others who need Jesus' hope;
  • LIVE a real, consistent Christian faith by reading, studying, and memorizing God's Word and spending time in personal worship;
  • TELL her/his friends about Jesus;
  • SERVE in or begin an active campus club;
  • GIVE time and finances to promote Jesus' hope globally.

Core Courses

ALPHA
This is an incredibly safe place to wrestle with one's questions and curiosities about the Christian faith. Why did Jesus have to die?  Does God actually answer prayer? Does God still heal today?  We share a meal together so as to share life with one another.  We then authentically discuss statements presented in this DVD study.  The highlight is a weekend retreat.  More information online by clicking HERE.

FAITH FOUNDATIONS
Whether you are discovering Jesus or have been a life-long member, this is a very practical class.  How do you pray?  How do I know if the Bible is reliable?  How can I be a wise steward of my finances?  Why should I enjoy weekly Sabbath?

UNIQUELY YOU
God has uniquely created and shaped each one of us.  This course helps us to identify our spiritual gifts, personality, passions, and type.  This is a great course to discover your purpose in this world and your unique role in following God's will for your life.

CONTAGIOUS CHRISTIAN
As we have wrestled with questions of the faith, discovered how to live faithfully, and then realized our created potential, we are now in a position to unlock the mission God has in mind for each of us.  This course will help you discover non-threatening ways to share your faith through your everyday lifestyle and circumstances.
